September

We were finally able to move into our bedrooms
this past week. We're all so excited about this!
There are still a few things that need to be done
(ie. closet doors, baseboards and casing, lights) but the
rooms are livable and we're just so happy to have a
room with a door!!

This is Peyton's room. She chose the color, but
we did 2 different shades so it wouldn't be so
overwhelming. At the last minute, she decided
she wanted orange, so I'm just doing orange accents.
Turned out to be quite pretty, I think, and it's
very 'her'.

I was surprised at how large the bedrooms ended
up being once we had all the furniture in place.
To the right of her window is the built-in desk
that Curt made. She loves it and now has the perfect
place to do all her drawing.

I love how Aimee's room turned out. The colors
match perfectly and it's beautiful!

Her workspace (because she actually has home
work in high school, gasp!). She's even made her
bed every day this week and is attempting to
keep it neat! Keeping my fingers crossed...

Bill had babies end of August. There were 6...
one was stillborn, and, well, the dogs got hold
of 3 of them so we're down to 2. It was amusing
watching the expression on Peyton's teacher's
face when she told him very matter-of-fact how
the poor kittens reached their demise. Such is
life on the farm!

We're trying to take advantage of these nice days
to ride as much as possible. It's definitely busier
with school and work, and who knows how much
longer we have till it snows?

This is Peyton have a tantrum on Skippy. She wants
him to trot over the jump, but being the 'babysitter'
that he is, he knows she isn't ready and goes around
it. She is absolutely livid, lol!

Aimee and Babe. We've been supplementing the
horses with oats, and Babe is back to being the
spunky 4 year old she should be.

The Day Before School

The day before school and P got her ears pierced!
She was brave but it definitely hurt more than she
thought it would.
