Swimming Lessons

We enrolled Peyton in swimming lessons again
this year. Fortunately, the weather got hot
just in time!

Jumping off the diving board on Day 2

Not quite daring enough to do it by herself

And of course, the best part is the
waterslide!

Sisterly Bonding

Well...it's difficult when siblings are so far apart
in age, but at least they found one thing they
enjoy doing together... (Sorry the pictures aren't
great. Took them from my blackberry)

My New Niece

Sabrina Goldie was born May 27 -
8lbs 15 oz and 22" long - first child
for my youngest sister, Gail and her
husband Jason.

4-H Clinic with Jack Dyck

This evening, Jack Dyck, from Pilot Mound
came out to give a clinic for our girls.

Gyp was being his typical pushy, domineering
self. Lots of bucking, bolting and not listening.
Aimee was afraid, needless to say, but Jack
worked a lot with them.

I'm very proud to say that not only did she
stay in the saddle, she showed him who was boss

Here's Jack working with a horse that wouldn't
back up.

I must admit, it looked a little harsh, but in the
end, this horse was backing up on command

Finally! After 2 1/2 hrs of trotting/cantering, Gyp's
finally starting to listen to Aimee and settle down!

Despite the rain at 4pm, we held out, it passed
quickly and we had a really good turn out.

Scarlet here has some of her own issues, which
include bucking and being pushy. So Jack got
on her to ride some of the spunk out.

To ensure everyone's safety, he ponied Scarlet
and Maggie up to him. And boy did they run!

Go, Maggie, Go!!

Whew! It was a long stressful evening, but
well worth it in the end!

When I Grow Up...

We've been hearing every day for awhile now,

"When I grow up, I'm going to be a paleontologist!"

Today she asked, "Dad, what are you going to be

when you grow up?"
