What a loot from Santa!

You can't tell from this picture, but I have laryngitis
and can't talk. Curt likes to say his Christmas wish

came true! Very funny...

We hosted my family on the 25th. Gail and Jason
recently moved back to Wpg from Edmonton, Cheryl
and Phil just barely returned from 6 weeks in Florida
and Mom and Dad are heading out to Arizona first
thing tomorrow morning.

Gail and Jason are expecting their first baby
early this summer! Christmas next year will
be very different for them!

Peyton was sooo tired, she crashed on the couch

in time to give the girls haircuts before Xmas

Ruby - 11 weeks

11 weeks old and 17lbs. It's been a long week
of house training...20+ times to eliminate in
roughly 12hrs. I hope she's gonna be a fast
learner.

Cleo has been tolerating Ruby very well...



Except when she gets close to her food.



And so you don't think all I do is take pictures
of my dogs, here's one of Peyton - vegging out
in front of the tv with "brown blankey" and her
bean bag chair watching 'Santa Claus is Coming
to Town'.

Peyton spent the day last Friday with her

new friends. A highlight was bringing home

cupcakes she decorated all by herself - nothing

better than rockets in chocolate icing :)

Ruby

Meet Ruby, newest member of the Martens
family.


Cleo's not too sure about this thing.



Ruby is an English Mastiff, 10 weeks old and
15lbs. Her mom is 195lbs and dad will be
around 240lbs.


Typical puppy, she likes to chew. Very sweet,
sensitive girl.

Silly Cleo

This is Cleo. Cleo is sad b/c Peyton has taken

her baby away from her.

Here is Peyton. She loves Cleo, but there is

no way she's going to share her toys...

Cleo thinks she's had a baby. Here she is
nursing 'Charlie'.

We're having fun with this - we take the toy

and put it in the toy box. Cleo follows, very

concerned. When we leave she retrieves it

and brings it back to her nest. She has never

done this before - so if anyone out there

knows something about dog behaviour, please

enlighten us!
